Åland: Priority labels

These labels are from Åland. They come in sheets of 30 labels.

Received 2010.

Year: ?, Self-adhesive.

Austria: Priority labels

These labels are currently used in Austria.

The Priority labels are from a roll. The backing paper is light cream/white.

Received in 2010.

Year: ?, Self-adhesive.

Norway: Airmail labels

This is the design used in Norway right now. Kindly sent to me by the Norwegian Post.
I think they come in pads of 50, 10 on each sheet.

Received in 2010.

Year: 2006, Self-adhesive.

Russia: Airmail labels

These labels were sent to me this year, almost at the same time. Both where sent from Moscow. What I think is funny is that they are so different. One is darker than the other and one has round edges.

I wonder which one is the newer design? Or maybe they do not are very strict printing rules when it comes to airmail labels? I know some countries are like that.
They are both cut out from a bigger sheet.

Year: ?, Self-adhesive.

Thailand: Airmail/Priority labels

Airmail labels from Thailand Post. I don't know much about them. They have no label number and no year to indicate when they are from. Apparently this is the design currently used.

Year: ?, Self-adhesive.

USA: Airmail, Express and Priority labels

Airmail labels from the USA. I been told that these have gone out of print, since all mail in the USA is now by air. But I still get these stickers on my mail from the US. So maybe they are not out of print yet?

Below you can see two different sizes. The is one more that I don't have a scan of yet, a much bigger label for packages.

Year: 1997, Self-adhesive.                    Year: 2002, Self-adhesive.

Here is the express label from the US. It comes in a roll of 440 labels.

Year: ?, Self-adhesive.

And last we have the priority mail labels. They come both in address label form and normal sticker form.
First the address labels. Here you can see the older and newer design.

Year: 2006, Self-adhesive.

Year: 2008, Self-adhesive.

Then the normal sticker label.

Year: 1997, Self-adhesive.

Last we have this 'Priority gift' label I got back in Christmas 2008. I don't know if it is a label they have out every Christmas. But it is a fun holiday design for the priority label.

Year: 2008, Self-adhesive.

Denmark: Express labels

I don't know all that much about express labels here in Denmark.

First an older design. It came in pads of 50 labels, 5 on each sheet.

Year: 1954, Gummed.

I'm not sure when they got rid of the old design. Now express labels come in sheets of 6, I think. You can get them for free at the post office.

Not shown in this picture, is that each label comes with a special tracking number.
